Lewis Lastik
was born on August 25th 1954 in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended
Cora Kelly and Mt. Vernon Elementary Schools and Parker Gray
Middle School before staring his High School career as a George
Washington High School Prexie. He graduated from
T.C. Williams High School in 1972. At T.C. he started at defensive
tackle for the 1971 State Championship team.
Lew attended
Ferrum College for two years. While there he played football
and baseball. He was a member of Ferrums 1974 National
Championship team as an offensive guard and also played in the
1974 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Star
Football Game at West Virginia University. After Ferrum he attended
Austin Peay State University (APSU) and graduated with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Health and Safety Education. He was a member
of the APSU football and track teams. In 1976 he placed first
in the javelin and third in the discus events at the Ohio Valley
Conference Track and Field Championships helping his team win
the Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
After college
and one year teaching High School Lew entered the manufacturing
profession. His currently holds the position of Product Control
and Purchasing Manager for Fibertek, Inc., Franklin Tennessee.
His hobbies include golf, swimming, working out and listening
to the blues.
His parents are
the major influence in his life. He is the person he is today
because of the way they raised him. Whenever I look in
the mirror I see reflections of my parents.
Lew is currently
divorced and has one son who turned 21 in November 2000.
