Minnie Howard Middle School 67-69
T.C. Williams High School 69-73
Joined the Air
Force after completing high school as a Telecommunication Specialist.
First duty assignment with the Air Force was at Warner Robins
AFB in Warner Robins Georgia. Next duty assignment was to Sembach
AB in near Kaiserslautern Germany. While at Sembach coached Youth
Football (1979 American Youth Association District Champions
10-2, 1980 American Youth Association European Champions 1980
13-0). Wrestled for the Sembach Air Base (2nd CSC Germany Championships,
three times CSC Germany Champion 1979-1981), then later officiated
Wrestling for the Air Force in Germany.
Met and married
the most wonderful lady in the world, Jutta Queck, and now the
proud father of Tanja and Alexander. While assigned to Ft. Ritchie
Maryland, worked in my spare time as assistant coach for the
T.C. Williams 1984-1985 wrestling team. During this time I also
officiated wrestling in the Northern Virginia School area.
Returned to Germany
where I retired at the rank of Technical Sergeant. Since my return
to Germany, I started officiating international wrestling for
the military. When my son started playing soccer, I coached his
team for the local sports club for 6 years. During this time
I stayed active in sports by also playing soccer for the over
thirty team.
My career in
the Air Force started as a Telecommunications Operator. Then
I switched to working in the Data Switching Center. Prior to
retirement, I was working as a database manager for the European
Command. Upon retirement in 1993, I was hired by Computer Sciences
Corporation to work as a database administrator in Germany with
the U.S. military. During my time with CSC, I have worked as
a network configuration Manager, computer System Administrator,
Network Engineer, and Information Security Analyst. In 1998 I
moved to the German division of CSC, CSC Ploenzke AG, where I
work as a Computer Consultant, specialising in IT-Security, Database
and System Administration.
Since graduating
from high school, I have spent approximately 23 years in Germany.
My time in Germany has helped me to realize that people are people.
Once you give them a chance, things can really work out for the
best. I really enjoy it here, and when given the chance, not
change anything in my life. |
